Your analytics settings

Who we are

What we collect and why

• Bookings: your name, email and phone number, the booking details and any promo code used, to take and manage your booking and send confirmations.
• Accounts: your name, email and phone number, and your sign-in details, which Amazon Cognito handles, so you can manage bookings and memberships.
• Payments: processed by Stripe. We receive the payment status and amounts, never your full card number.
• Waivers: your agreement to the liability waiver, with its version, the time, your IP address and browser, to record that you agreed, whether you sign from your account or at checkout.
• Memberships: your plan, its status and hours used; billing is handled by Stripe.
• League signups: your team name; the captain's name, email and phone number; your partner's name if given; preferred nights; any notes; and your agreement to be contacted about the league.
• Emails: confirmations and receipts, sent with Amazon SES.

Website analytics

• We record pages visited (the page address, without search terms), the site that referred you (its name only), campaign tags, your device type (from your browser window's width), and a random session ID that lasts for the browser tab.
• We record the steps you take: the day and time you look at, the price shown, whether a time could be held, promo code attempts (the outcome only, never the code), starting checkout (whether you are signed in and how you are paying), payment errors as codes, membership pages and the plan you choose, that a league form was sent (none of its contents), and changes to your analytics settings.
• When you start a checkout, the analytics record includes a coded checkout reference (not your booking number), so we can see which steps lead to completed bookings.
• We never record your name, email, phone number or card details in analytics, and we do not store your IP address. We use no advertising trackers or pixels, and we never sell or share analytics for advertising.
• You can turn analytics off at any time on this page or from the notice. We honour Global Privacy Control. We only recognise your browser across visits if you turn that on, and you can turn it off again.
• Detailed analytics records are deleted after 13 months. After that we keep only totals that cannot identify anyone.

Where it is stored

On Amazon Web Services servers in Ohio, United States, and with Stripe for payments. Information stored in the United States may be accessible to courts and authorities there under US law.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records for as long as accounting and tax rules require, which is six years from the end of the tax year they relate to. Waiver records for seven years after you sign. Analytics as above.

Your rights

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing devon@devsgolfsim.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We update this page when our practices change and show the date of the last update at the top.
